Mike is a lifetime resident of Montgomery county, being born and raised in the geographic center of North Carolina in the quaint little town of Star.  With Montgomery County being located in the heart of the Uwharrie National Forest and including Lake Tillery and Badin Lake, the area has a certain draw to it that is unseen elsewhere.  Being conveniently located in nearly equal distance from the mountains, coast and major cities in state is the icing on the cake to Montgomery County’s uniqueness. 

Mike has always loved living in a rural area and all that goes with it.  Throughout the years, he has owned various livestock including horses, chickens, and goats.  He currently lives on an old dairy farm with acreage and a lake for his own recreational use.

Ever since he was a little boy, Mike has loved being outdoors whether he was hiking, fishing, hunting or just enjoying the country air sitting on the front porch.  He and his family have had a business presence in Montgomery County as well as the surrounding counties of Moore County, Richmond County, Stanly County, Davidson County and Randolph County for many years now.

Mike has worked in all kinds of sales throughout the years with his father including aircraft, motor vehicles, manufactured homes and modular homes.  He has been a licensed real estate broker since 1988 in both North Carolina and South Carolina.  Mike is a member of the National Association of REALTORS, the North Carolina Association of REALTORS, and the Mid-Carolina Regional Association of REALTORS.

Assisting clients buy and sell real estate is where Mike finds the most enjoyment.  His passion for real estate has led him to shift his focus solely to that industry.

Meet Nick

Nick was born and raised in Star, North Carolina—the geographic center of the state as designated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Having spent his life in Montgomery County, he has developed a deep appreciation for the area’s people, history, and natural beauty.

Located in the heart of North Carolina, Montgomery County offers convenient access to many of the state’s major destinations while maintaining its small-town charm. Home to the scenic Uwharrie National Forest, the county is also surrounded by beautiful farmland, timberland, recreational properties, hunting tracts, and rural homesteads, making it an ideal place to live, work, and invest.

From a young age, Nick has had a passion for music. As a singer, guitarist, and songwriter, he has performed with various bands and has written, recorded, and released a full-length album, three EPs, and several singles available on major streaming platforms. Through music, he has enjoyed meeting people from all walks of life and has had the privilege of headlining performances for numerous charitable events, including fundraisers benefiting the Boys & Girls Club, Ronald McDonald House, Relay for Life, tornado relief efforts, and local nursing homes.

Nick earned his Bachelor of Arts in Bible with a minor in Humanities, Master of Arts in Ministry, and Master of Divinity from Piedmont Divinity School at Carolina University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He currently serves as Senior Pastor of Troy First Baptist Church and is also a chaplain in the North Carolina Army National Guard. His love for the outdoors is reflected in his enjoyment of hiking the many trails throughout the Uwharrie region.
